Community Infrastructure Levy Update: 30 November

On Tuesday 8 December Southwark Council’s Cabinet will make a decision on the first tranche of Local CIL Projects to be funded.

The projects recommended for funding (all chosen from ideas suggested by the public) are in the following 12 wards:

  • Borough and Bankside
  • Chaucer
  • Dulwich Wood
  • London Bridge and West Bermondsey
  • North Bermondsey
  • North Walworth
  • Nunhead and Queen’s Road
  • Peckham
  • Peckham Rye
  • Rotherhithe
  • St George’s
  • Surrey Quays
  • You can read more about each project in the Cabinet report which is available on the council website.

If your suggestion or favoured project is in one of these wards but isn’t included in the report it means it hasn’t been recommended for funding.

However, it’s still possible that your project could be funded from a different council budget (such as the Cleaner, Greener, Safer fund) or from a future round of Local CIL funding.

Projects recommended for funding from the remaining 11 wards will go to Cabinet for a decision on 19 January 2021.
